to be made to our club and directed to a specific team within the
club. With the exception of the cost of team ice, funds can be used
for team activities such as equipment, practice jerseys, meals, tournament
expenses etc. Forms to facilitate your donation are available on our

More
about our club:
Our facility:
The USA Hockey Club is a non-profit youth hockey organization based
at the Detroit Skating Club located on Denison Court in Bloomfield
Hills (just behind Golling Chrysler Plymouth). The facility houses
3 arenas and offers programs for beginning hockey players (Jr. Eagles),
experienced in-house players (girls and boys) and travel teams.
Our programs:
Jr. Eagles Hockey

and socks are provided. (Full hockey gear required.)
* We are focused on individual player improvement, having fun and
a developing genuine love of the game.
*On-ice program administered by Walter Bartels (MSU Spartans).
Cost for this program from September through end of December is $125.
January through mid March cost will be $150. (A full year of hockey
instruction for a total of $275!)
In-House Teams:
Our house program promises a competitive experience, mixed with a
strong commitment to developing and improving our players, while always
focusing on teamwork, sportsmanship and fun. Our experienced coaching
staffs are dedicated to ensuring improvement for every skater and
every team.
Our Mini Mite, Mite, Squirt and Pee Wee teams stay close to home for
league games, playing each other in-house, while also participating
in the "Oakland Hockey League" a cooperative organization
with Birmingham and Royal Oak. Bantam and Midget house teams play
in the Little Caesars Amateur Hockey League.
Wildflowers Girls Developmental Hockey:
What began as a quiet idea took on a life of its own last season,
as a girls-only developmental program was started by our Jr. Eagles
director, Walt Bartels. A group of (6) girls turned quickly to (12),
then finished the season with over (20). The girls had a terrific
time, learned a great deal about the game, played VERY well, and made
great friends with each other. We expect to continue this program
in the 2010-2011 season.
Every USA house team (including the Wildflowers) skates a minimum
of twice per week on home ice. The ice schedule is "set"
for the season, so you will have a firm idea for balancing time commitments
for school, work, home and hockey.
Travel Teams:
We support competitive travel play at every level, Mite through
Midget. Our teams participate in Little Caesars league play and Michigan
Amateur Hockey League District 4 playoffs, as well as scrimmages and
tournament play throughout the state. We have a solid reputation for
developing high-level hockey players in every division and have a
strong, dedicated core of experienced travel coaches. Tryouts begin
in July, so watch this website and Hockey Weekly for tryout information.
We have a strong organization, great coaches, terrific
kids and wonderful parents.
